Privacy Policy
KINGDOM Coffee Roasting Co.
1. Who we are
KINGDOM Coffee Roasting Co. (“KINGDOM Coffee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website at kcroastingco.com along with our cafés in Cameron, Chillicothe, and St. Joseph, Missouri, and our roastery. Our online shop is operated at kcroastingco-shop.com under a separate privacy policy; this policy does not cover that site.
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at info@kcroastingco.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit kcroastingco.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies only to information collected through this website. Information you give us in person at a café, by phone, or through our rewards app is handled separately.
3. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically when you use the site, and information from third parties that help us run the site.
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact or wholesale inquiry form, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, business name (for wholesale), and the contents of your message. When you sign up for our email newsletter, you provide your email address and, optionally, your name. When you click a link to our rewards app or to kcroastingco-shop.com, you leave our site and any account information you create is handled by those services under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, kcroastingco.com is built on Wix and automatically collects standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you visit on our site, the date and time of your visit, the site that referred you, and similar diagnostic data. This information is collected through cookies, log files, and similar technologies.
Information from service providers. We use Wix to host our website and may use Wix’s built-in analytics, marketing, and email tools, which collect usage information on our behalf. If we run advertising or analytics through third parties (for example, Google Analytics or Meta), those services may set their own cookies on your browser.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
-
Respond to inquiries you send through the contact or wholesale forms.
-
Send you our email newsletter and other marketing messages, but only if you’ve signed up for them.
-
Operate, secure, and improve the website.
-
Understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better.
-
Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of our customers.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies — but parts of the site may not work properly if you do. Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how to do so.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
-
Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us run the site and our business — for example, Wix (website hosting and email), and any analytics, advertising, or email marketing tools we use. These providers are only allowed to use your information to perform services for us.
-
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we’re required to by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
-
Business transfers. If KINGDOM Coffee is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’ll notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as required by law. Inquiry form submissions are typically retained for the time it takes to respond and follow up. Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe. Automatically collected technical data is retained on the schedules set by our service providers (for example, Wix’s standard log retention periods).
8. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and we rely on Wix and our other service providers to do the same. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
Email marketing. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing us at info@kcroastingco.com. We’ll still send you transactional or service-related messages (for example, replies to a question you sent us).
Cookies. Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies as described above.
Access, correction, deletion. If you’d like to see what information we have about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, email info@kcroastingco.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
10. California residents
If you live in California, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email info@kcroastingco.com with your request and enough information for us to verify your identity.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@kcroastingco.com and we’ll delete it.
12. Links to other sites
Our website links to other sites we don’t operate, including our online shop at kcroastingco-shop.com, our rewards app, and our social media pages. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy and, if the changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice on the site. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
